UBM was established in 1950 in Ankara to engage in consultancy of engineering services and registered as a Limited Company in 1971. The company was incorporated as a Stock Corporation in 1988.
UBM has been assigned by major state organizations, public and private companies to undertake challenging engineering and consultancy projects and has successfully completed all its assignments.
UBM cooperates with international consultant companies from various countries such as USA, Germany, UK, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Norway, Austria, Hungary and Japan, for the projects funded by major international financial institutions like World Bank, Europe Aid (European Union), European Investment Bank (EIB), Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
UBM is the first certified Engineering Consultancy in Turkey which provides work management and services underISO-9001 Quality Management System since 1997 and again the first Engineering Consultancy having obtainedProfessional Liability Insurance for all works and activities under its responsibilities since 1999.
As of 2012 the total personnel number is over 700. The number of staff may increase in parallel to new projects are being undertaken. The staff comprises of civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, electrical, survey, geology and geo-technical engineers, architectures, technicians, CAD operators, computer experts, economists and management staff, administrative and support staff.
